Lightweight Metal Expansion Anchors: The Ultimate Fixing Solution for Solid & Hollow Walls
Tired of loose plugs and unreliable fixtures? Our Heavy-Duty Metal Expansion Anchors are engineered to provide a permanent, ultra-strong hold in a wide variety of materials. Say goodbye to stripped plastic plugs and hello to professional-grade, long-lasting fastenings.
Key Features & Benefits:
-
Exceptional Holding Power: Crafted from high-quality carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish, these anchors boast a remarkable load capacity of 20-30 kg, significantly outperforming standard plastic wall plugs by up to three times. Install with absolute confidence.
-
The Ultimate Old Hole Repair Kit: Is a worn-out, oversized hole ruining your project? This is the perfect solution. With a high expansion rate, these metal anchors can effectively repair and secure common 6mm and 8mm old holes, saving you time and hassle.
-
Versatile Application: Designed for use in hollow bricks (lightweight/foam bricks), solid bricks, and concrete walls. It's the ideal, all-around replacement for flimsy PE/PA plastic anchors, making it a must-have for any toolbox.
-
Secure & Long-Lasting Grip: The zinc plating provides excellent corrosion and rust resistance. Featuring a four-sided serrated design or special structure, the anchor bites firmly into the substrate, preventing loosening over time for a vibration-resistant hold.
Specifications & Buying Guide
Please Note: Product model numbers (e.g., #6, #8) may differ from factory internal markings. Always select based on the required drill bit size.
Color: White or Yellow (shipped randomly)
Material: Anchor/Sleeve: Zinc-Plated Carbon Steel; Screw: High-Strength Self-Tapping Screw.
Easy Installation in 4 Simple Steps:
-
Drill: Create a hole using a drill bit matching your anchor size (e.g., 6mm or 8mm).
→ Crucial Tip: For hollow/lightweight bricks, use a standard drill or the drill-only mode on an impact drill. DO NOT use hammer drill mode, as it can make the hole too large. For concrete walls, use an impact/hammer drill.
-
Insert: Gently tap the metal expansion anchor into the drilled hole using a hammer until it sits flush with the wall surface.
-
Fasten: Place your object (e.g., bracket) over the hole and use a screwdriver or power drill to drive the self-tapping screw into the center of the anchor.
-
Expand & Secure: As you tighten the screw, the base of the anchor expands, creating a powerful, secure grip deep within the wall material.
Ideal Use Cases:
-
Hanging pictures, photo frames, clocks, and mirrors.
-
Installing curtain rods, towel rails, shower curtain rods, and kitchen hooks.
-
Mounting lightweight shelves, cabinets, and TV brackets.
-
Repairing any old, loose holes where plastic anchors have failed.
Important Notes Before You Buy:
-
Please assess your wall type (hollow brick vs. concrete) and the weight of the object to be fixed to select the correct anchor size.
-
For non-professionals or if you are unsure of old hole sizes, we recommend purchasing both the 6mm and 8mm sizes to have on hand.
-
Thanks to their excellent expansion, these anchors can often compensate for slightly oversized holes (e.g., a 7mm hole).
-
The included hex-head wood screws are compatible with magnetic sockets for faster, easier power tool installation.
