Dual-Mode Operation for Flexibility
The Essential Guide: How to Choose & What Size Hole to Drill?
The thread size (e.g., M3) refers to the diameter of the bolt you will use. Simply select the rivet nut that matches your bolt—the corresponding pulling head is already included in the kit. Use the table below for hole preparation and tool selection.
(For power drill operation: Use the corresponding hex bit/socket and always operate your drill at a LOW speed setting.)
How to Use: Simple Instructions
Manual Operation:
-
Prepare: Drill a hole in your workpiece according to the table above.
-
Assemble: Screw the correct pulling head onto the tool mandrel, then thread the rivet nut onto the pulling head.
-
Position: Use a wrench to secure the tool's hexagonal sleeve. Insert the rivet nut into the pre-drilled hole.
-
Set: Turn the central mandrel clockwise with the correct hex or open-end wrench. Continue until the rivet nut expands tightly and the mandrel stem snaps. (Note: Apply force evenly. The mandrel is designed to snap at a precise point—this is normal and indicates a proper installation.)
Power Drill Operation (Faster):
Steps 1-3 are identical to manual operation.
4. Set: Attach the correct bit to your power drill, fit it onto the mandrel, set the drill to LOW speed, and activate until installation is complete.
